Description

The Mara is a 640mm 3-light chandelier built around three curved metal arms radiating from a central stem, finished in antique brass with white pleated fabric shades on each arm. Each arm terminates in an E14 candle-style bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the shades diffuse the light output while softening the metallic frame. The antique brass finish gives a warmer, slightly aged tone compared to polished brass, with subtle tonal variation across the metal surface.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Mara suits rooms where a smaller chandelier provides ambient light without dominating the space. The 640mm diameter works over a 4-seater dining table or in a 3-4m living room without overwhelming the proportions. The drop is adjustable between 650mm and 2500mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be set at the appropriate height for the ceiling, typically 700-900mm above a dining surface or 2-2.2m from floor level in a hallway.

The three-arm configuration creates visual balance from any angle, and the antique brass pairs with warm-toned interiors, wood furniture and traditional or transitional decor schemes. The white pleated shades add a textile element that contrasts with the metal, and the folds in the fabric create subtle shadow lines when the bulbs are lit. At 2.4kg the chandelier has enough weight to feel substantial on installation but remains within the load capacity of most standard UK ceiling roses.

Is the Mara dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself has no internal dimming mechanism. Dimming is controlled by the wall switch and bulb type.

What bulbs does it take?

The Mara takes three E14 candle-style bulbs (also called small Edison screw). Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for ambient dining light.

What room size does it suit?

The 640mm diameter works in dining rooms or living rooms up to around 4m across. For larger rooms a bigger chandelier may be needed to anchor the space visually.

How is the drop adjusted?

The chain and cable can be shortened on installation by feeding excess chain into the ceiling rose and cutting the cable to the required length. Once installed the drop is fixed unless re-fitted.
