The Mantle is a 327mm semi-flush ceiling light from Quoizel, featuring a shallow prismatic glass bowl suspended 246mm below a palladian bronze ceiling mount on three curved metal arms. The fitting takes two E27 bulbs (sold separately), with the prismatic glass diffusing light evenly across a room rather than casting it downward in a focused beam.

Designed for rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings where a pendant would hang too low, the semi-flush profile keeps the glass dome within 25cm of the ceiling plane. This makes it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms where overhead movement happens regularly. The 327mm diameter provides enough spread for rooms up to 4m x 4m without dominating the ceiling visually.

The palladian bronze finish is a warmed, slightly aged bronze tone with hints of copper undertone, darker than polished brass but lighter than oil-rubbed bronze. The prismatic glass uses a radial ribbed pattern moulded into the bowl, creating concentric rings that catch light and break it into soft refractions when the bulbs are lit. Each bulb sits inside the bowl rather than beneath it, so the glass acts as the primary diffuser. The three curved support arms echo traditional gas-light era fittings while the overall proportions suit both period and contemporary interiors.

Yes. The prismatic glass dome is held by a threaded finial at the base. Unscrew the finial, lower the glass bowl, change the bulbs, and reverse the process to reassemble.
