Mansion 3 Light Outdoor Wall Light - Aged Brass

The Mansion is a 478mm outdoor wall lantern built around a solid brass frame finished in aged brass with clear glass panels on four sides. Three E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the glazed housing, visible through the flat glass and protected by the IP44-rated enclosure. The brass frame carries decorative piercing around the domed roof and mid-section, referencing pre-Georgian coach lantern design.

Designed for installation on external walls flanking front doors, porch entries, courtyard gates and period properties, the Mansion projects 346mm from the wall on a scrolled brass bracket. The 220mm width keeps the lantern proportional to standard residential door frames and gate piers without overwhelming narrow facades. The IP44 rating protects the lamp holders and internal wiring from rain and splashing, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions under eaves or on open walls.

The aged brass finish is applied by hand and then lacquered to hold the patina at a consistent tone, preventing further oxidisation that would darken the metal unevenly over time. Each bracket is cast from solid brass rather than plated steel, giving the fitting a 4.2kg weight that anchors securely to brick, stone or rendered masonry. The clear glass panels are bevelled at the edges and held in a brass frame that allows individual panes to be replaced if damaged. Is the Mansion suitable for fully exposed positions without a porch roof?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against rain and splashing from any angle. The lacquered brass finish holds its patina without further oxidisation, so the fitting can be mounted on open walls, gate piers or courtyard entries without accelerated weathering.

What bulbs does it take?

The Mansion takes three E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K to mimic traditional gas lantern light.

Can the glass panels be replaced if one breaks?

Yes. The clear glass panels are held in a brass frame that allows individual panes to be removed and replaced without dismantling the entire lantern. Contact Elstead Lighting or Niori for replacement glass.

How is it fixed to the wall?

The scrolled bracket mounts to the wall with two fixing points concealed behind the backplate. The fitting weighs approximately 4.2kg, so it requires fixing into brick, stone or solid masonry with appropriate wall plugs and screws (not supplied).
