Description

The Malibu is a single-light wall fitting with an opal etched glass cylinder shade mounted on a brushed brass arm and stepped oval backplate. The fitting includes a 3W 3000K LED G9 bulb fitted inside the glass shade, diffusing warm white light through the etched surface. The brushed brass finish shows a low-sheen satin texture that sits between polished and antique brass tones.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways and landing walls, the Malibu carries an IP44 rating making it suitable for damp environments including bathroom zones 2 and 3. The 160mm projection from the wall and 216mm height suit positions beside mirrors, either side of a vanity unit, or spaced at intervals along a corridor. The stepped frame on the backplate adds Art Deco-inspired detailing without dominating the wall plane.

The opal etched glass hides the bulb from direct view and softens the light output, reducing glare when the fitting is positioned at eye level. The 129mm diameter of the glass shade provides enough presence for the fitting to register as a light source rather than an accent, while remaining compact enough for narrow hallway widths. The brushed brass pairs with warm neutrals, soft greys and traditional bathroom tile palettes.

Is the Malibu suitable for bathrooms?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, meaning it can be installed outside the immediate shower enclosure or above a bath. It should not be fitted inside a shower cubicle or directly above a bath where it would be subject to direct spray.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The fitting includes a 3W 3000K LED G9 bulb. The G9 socket accepts any standard G9 bulb up to 3W if you prefer a different colour temperature or need a replacement in future.

Is the LED dimmable?

The included 3W LED G9 bulb is not dimmable. If you need dimming capability, you would need to replace the supplied bulb with a dimmable G9 LED and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch.

What's the light output?

The 3W LED at 3000K provides ambient task lighting rather than strong illumination. For mirror lighting in a bathroom, most users fit two Malibu fittings either side of the mirror to achieve balanced light for grooming tasks.
