Description
The Maive is a white metal desk lamp with a spring-balanced articulated arm and an adjustable conical shade housing a single E27 bulb fitting. The arm extends up to 360mm from the base and locks at any angle using internal spring tension, allowing the light to be directed onto a specific work area, reading position, or angled upward as indirect room lighting.
Designed for desks, workbenches, bedside tables and craft stations, the Maive provides directional task lighting without requiring clamps or wall mounting. The 200mm circular weighted base keeps the lamp stable when the arm is extended, and the shade can be rotated on its joint to fine-tune the beam direction. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only.
The white powder-coated metal finish gives a clean, neutral appearance that pairs with Scandinavian, minimalist and contemporary workspaces. The lamp accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the manufacturer's maximum wattage (check the Specification tab), giving control over colour temperature and brightness to suit the task. Ideal Lux backs the Maive with a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Maive take?
The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for desk work or reading.
Does the arm stay in position when adjusted?
Yes. The arm uses internal spring tension to lock at any angle once positioned. The shade can also be rotated on its joint to fine-tune the light direction without moving the entire arm.
Is it suitable for use in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Maive is designed for dry indoor environments only and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any location where moisture is present.
What's the maximum reach from the base?
The arm extends up to 360mm from the centre of the 200mm base, giving a total reach of approximately 560mm when fully extended horizontally.
