Description

The Mah Pro EM is an emergency LED batten built for safety lighting on commercial and industrial sites. Selectable power lets it run at 38, 34.5, 27.5 or 22W, giving 6100, 5600, 4550 or 3750 lumens depending on the setting chosen at install, all at a neutral 4000K. Its 110 degree beam spreads light evenly along corridors and open floors from a slim 1200mm rectangular body. Specified as emergency lighting, it serves as a working luminaire that switches to battery backup when mains power fails. North American buyers will recognise the format as a weatherproof linear strip or wraparound fixture used for the same escape-route duty.

Its role is to mark and illuminate escape routes, so coverage is best judged by reach along a path rather than by a desk-lux area. The 110 degree spread and 1200mm length suit running lights down corridors, across stairwells, plant rooms and loading bays, where a continuous wash keeps exit routes legible in an outage. The IP66 rating opens up exposed and wet locations such as car parks, external walkways and washdown areas that lower-rated fittings cannot serve. Mount it to a ceiling or wall at a height that keeps the beam clear of obstructions and sightlines to the exit.

The body is moulded polycarbonate finished in grey, rated IP66 against dust and powerful water jets and IK08 for impact resistance. It runs from a 220 to 240V AC supply and is not dimmable, which suits its fixed safety function. Both ceiling and wall mounting are supported, and the LED is rated for 50,000 hours with a CRI of Ra 80. At 1.64kg the fitting is light enough for straightforward fixing. The Mah Pro EM range covers a span of power settings, so a consistent emergency scheme can be built across a single site.

Frequently Asked

Is this a maintained or non-maintained emergency fitting?

The Mah Pro EM works as both a general luminaire and an emergency light, switching to its internal battery when the mains supply fails. This makes it suitable for maintained use, where the light is on under normal conditions, as well as standby duty. The exact mode is set during installation to match the scheme.

Can it be used outdoors and in wet locations?

Yes. The IP66 rating means it is fully protected against dust and powerful water jets, so it is suitable for exposed outdoor sites, car parks, external walkways and washdown areas. The IK08 rating also gives it useful impact resistance for industrial settings.

What does the selectable power give me?

Power can be set to 38, 34.5, 27.5 or 22W, producing 6100, 5600, 4550 or 3750 lumens respectively. This lets you match output to the space and to the duration required from the emergency battery. The setting is chosen at install rather than switched in use.

How should the fitting be cleaned and maintained?

Wipe the polycarbonate body and lens with a soft damp cloth, avoiding solvents that could mar the surface. Emergency fittings should also be function-tested on a routine schedule so the battery and changeover are confirmed working. Keep the unit clear of heavy debris to maintain the IP66 seal.
