Description

The ESP MagPro is an addressable fire alarm sounder strobe combining a piezo sounder with visual alert in a single red polycarbonate unit certified to EN54-3. The device draws power and communication from the fire panel loop, offering adjustable sound output at either 92dB or 100dB and 32 different sound types selectable directly from the control panel.

Designed for commercial fire alarm installations where both audible and visual warning devices are required in a single unit, the MagPro reduces installation time and cable runs compared to fitting separate sounders and strobes. Loop synchronisation ensures multiple units flash in unison across a building, preventing the disorienting effect of unsynchronised strobes. The device carries an IP21C rating, providing protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm and condensation.

The translucent red polycarbonate lens surrounds the central strobe element, with the piezo sounder housed beneath. The unit measures approximately 100mm diameter and mounts onto a separately-ordered MAGPRO-DB base, allowing the device to be removed for maintenance or testing without disconnecting loop wiring. EN54-3 certification confirms compliance with the European standard for fire alarm sounders, making the MagPro suitable for systems requiring full third-party certification.

Frequently Asked

Is the mounting base included?

No. The MagPro sounder strobe requires the MAGPRO-DB base to be ordered separately. The base fixes to the wall or ceiling and connects to the loop wiring, while the sounder strobe head twists onto the base for tool-free removal during maintenance.

Can the sound output be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The sound level (92dB or 100dB) and the sound type (32 options) are both programmable from the fire alarm control panel, so adjustments can be made remotely without accessing the device itself.

What does loop synchronisation mean?

Loop synchronisation means all MagPro strobes connected to the same fire panel loop flash at the same time. This prevents the disorienting strobe effect that occurs when multiple visual devices flash out of phase with each other.

What is the IP21C rating?

IP21C provides protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm and condensation. This makes the MagPro suitable for most indoor commercial environments but not for areas exposed to direct water spray or heavy dust.
