Description

The MagPro is an addressable fire alarm sounder in a red polycarbonate housing, rated IP65 for outdoor installation. The unit includes a waterproof deep base designed for wall mounting in aggressive outdoor environments where standard sounders would fail due to moisture ingress or temperature extremes.

Intended for commercial fire alarm systems using addressable protocols, the MagPro connects to compatible control panels where each device carries a unique address on the loop. This allows the control panel to identify which specific sounder has been activated or faulted, rather than treating all sounders as a single zone. The waterproof deep base accommodates two IP65-rated cable glands, an O-ring and gasket to seal the cable entry points against rain and moisture.

The red polycarbonate shell resists UV degradation and impact damage in outdoor conditions. The deep base raises the sounder body away from the mounting surface, allowing the cable glands to be fitted horizontally without the cables being crushed against the wall. This configuration is common in car parks, loading bays, external stairwells and plant rooms where fire alarm coverage is required but devices are exposed to weather.
