Description

The MagPro is a 96-zone addressable fire alarm panel with an 800 x 480 pixel colour touchscreen interface, supporting up to 250 devices per loop and logging 10,000 events in internal memory. The panel is certified to EN54-2/4 and designed for commercial, industrial and multi-occupancy installations requiring centralized fire detection management across multiple floors or buildings.

The touchscreen interface provides direct access to zone status, device diagnostics, alarm history and system settings without needing a separate PC for routine monitoring. The panel connects to PC programming software via a micro USB port, with loop and battery calculator tools included to simplify system design during installation. Up to 32 MagPro panels can be networked together, allowing a single operator to monitor distributed fire detection systems across a large site from any networked panel.

The grey steel enclosure measures 510mm wide by 370mm high by 150mm deep and is designed for surface mounting on plant room walls or within a fire control room. Internal terminals accommodate mains supply input, battery backup connections, sounder circuits and loop wiring. The panel's 10,000-event memory log stores alarm activations, fault conditions, device removals and system resets with timestamps, providing an audit trail for regulatory compliance and maintenance planning.

Free programming software is available on completion of ESP's UK-based training course, ensuring installers can configure and commission the panel to site-specific requirements. The software allows zone assignment, device mapping, sounder circuit programming and network configuration to be completed off-site before the panel is installed, reducing commissioning time on larger projects.

Frequently Asked

How many devices can the panel support?

The MagPro supports up to 250 addressable devices per loop across 96 zones. The total device count depends on loop configuration and the specific devices used. ESP's loop calculator software, included with the panel, calculates maximum device loading based on cable lengths and device power draw.

Can multiple panels be networked together?

Yes. Up to 32 MagPro panels can be networked, allowing distributed fire detection across multiple buildings or floors to be monitored from any panel in the network. Network configuration is handled through the PC programming software.

What training is required to access the programming software?

ESP provides the programming software free of charge on completion of their UK-based training course. The training covers panel installation, loop wiring, device commissioning and network setup. Contact ESP directly to book a training session.

What battery backup does the panel require?

Battery backup requirements depend on the total system load, standby duration and alarm duration specified for the installation. The included battery calculator software determines the correct battery capacity based on these parameters and the number of devices connected to the panel.
