Description

The MagPro 4 Output Module is an addressable fire alarm control module with four independent relay outputs and a built-in loop isolator, designed for integration into ESP MagPro and compatible addressable fire alarm systems. The module draws power directly from the fire alarm loop, eliminating the need for separate PSU wiring, and uses screw terminals for relay connections to controlled devices.

Designed for commercial fire safety installations requiring multiple output controls from a single addressable point, the module handles typical applications including shutdown of HVAC ventilation systems, magnetic door hold-open release, and fire damper activation. Each of the four relays can be independently addressed and programmed within the fire panel software, allowing different cause-and-effect logic for each output based on detector zones, panel modes, or manual activation.

The built-in isolator protects the rest of the fire alarm loop from short-circuit faults occurring at or beyond this module's position on the loop, maintaining system integrity across the installation. The module is certified to EN54-18 (the European standard for input/output devices for fire detection and alarm systems), meeting the requirements for life-safety fire alarm installations across the UK and EU. The grey ABS enclosure measures approximately 150mm x 110mm and mounts inside standard electrical back boxes or fire alarm equipment cabinets.

Frequently Asked

What is the module used for in a fire alarm system?

The module provides four independently addressable relay outputs that can be programmed to control devices when the fire panel activates them. Common applications include shutting down air handling units, releasing magnetic fire door holders, closing fire dampers, and activating sounder circuits or emergency lighting contactors.

Does it need a separate power supply?

No. The module is loop-powered, drawing operating current directly from the fire alarm loop. This reduces installation complexity compared to modules requiring dedicated PSU connections, though you should confirm the loop PSU has sufficient capacity for the total number of devices and modules on that loop.

What does the built-in isolator do?

The isolator detects short-circuit faults on the loop wiring at or beyond this module's position and automatically isolates that section, preventing the fault from disabling the entire loop. This maintains fire alarm functionality across the rest of the building even if a cable fault occurs downstream of the module.

Is it compatible with other addressable fire panels?

The module is designed specifically for ESP MagPro addressable fire alarm panels. Compatibility with other manufacturers' panels depends on protocol — consult the panel documentation or contact the panel manufacturer before specifying this module for non-ESP systems.

Shipping & Returns

Free worldwide delivery

Free worldwide delivery on all orders over £99. International orders for third-party brand products may be subject to an additional courier surcharge based on volumetric weight, particularly on larger lighting fixtures — if a surcharge applies, our team will email you with the amount before dispatch and you can proceed or cancel for a full refund. See full delivery terms.

Returns

30-day returns window from delivery. As all our products are electrical or lighting goods, returned items must be inspected and recertified by a qualified electrician before resale — the cost of this inspection (25–40% of the item value) is deducted from your refund. Customers pay return shipping. Made-to-order, special-order and clearance items cannot be returned. See full returns policy.
