Description

The MagPro 1 Input Mini Module is an EN54-18 compliant addressable input device designed for integration with ESP MagPro fire alarm panels. The module monitors a single volt-free contact and reports status changes to the fire alarm control panel via the two-wire addressable loop. At 58mm x 25mm x 12mm, the compact enclosure fits behind wall-mounted call points, inside control cabinets, or alongside third-party devices where space is limited.

Designed for fire alarm system installers who need to integrate third-party equipment into an addressable fire detection system, the module allows non-addressable devices such as manual override switches, door contact sensors, or external equipment alarms to report to the main panel. Each module is assigned a unique address on the loop, allowing the control panel to identify which specific input has changed state. The volt-free contact input means the module does not supply power to the external device — it only monitors the contact's open or closed state.

The 10g net weight and 58mm length make the MagPro Mini Module one of the smallest addressable input modules available for EN54-18 fire alarm systems. The two screw terminals accept the incoming loop cable, and two additional terminals connect to the external volt-free contact being monitored. Installation is typically surface-mount using the integral fixing lugs, or the module can be housed inside the enclosure of the device it's monitoring.

Frequently Asked

What fire alarm systems is this compatible with?

The MagPro 1 Input Mini Module is designed for use with ESP MagPro addressable fire alarm control panels. It connects to the two-wire addressable loop and is assigned a unique address during commissioning. Check compatibility with your specific panel model in the product manual.

What does 'volt-free contact' mean?

A volt-free contact is a switch or relay contact that does not carry power. The MagPro Mini Module monitors whether the contact is open or closed, but does not supply voltage to the external device. This makes it safe for integration with a wide range of third-party equipment.

What are typical applications for this module?

Common applications include monitoring manual override switches, integrating non-addressable call points or alarm devices into an addressable system, monitoring door contact sensors in fire escape routes, and connecting third-party control equipment that uses dry contacts to signal status changes.

How is the module addressed?

The module is assigned a unique address during system commissioning using the fire alarm panel's programming interface. Each module on the loop must have a different address so the control panel can identify which specific input has changed state.
