Description

The Magnus is a cylindrical outdoor wall light in a graphite powder-coated finish with an integrated 5.7W 3000K LED GX53 bulb. The fitting projects 128mm from the wall and directs light downward through a clear polycarbonate lens at the base of the cylinder, creating a defined pool of warm white light on pathways, steps or entrance areas below.

Rated IP44 for protection against solid objects over 1mm and splashing water from any direction, the Magnus suits external walls, covered patios, porch areas and residential driveways exposed to typical UK weather. The graphite finish resists corrosion and pairs with contemporary, industrial and modern residential exteriors in grey, black and neutral tones. The cylindrical body shields the LED from direct view, reducing glare for anyone approaching the fitting.

The 100mm diameter and 146mm height give the Magnus a compact presence on rendered, brick or timber-clad walls without dominating narrow entrances or tight porch areas. The fitting mounts via a wall plate concealed behind the cylinder, with cable entry from the rear. The GX53 LED is a twist-lock fitting that can be replaced without dismantling the entire light body, although the included 5.7W bulb has a typical lifespan of 25,000+ hours.

Is the Magnus suitable for uncovered outdoor locations?

The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for covered porches, carports and locations with overhangs. For fully exposed walls in heavy rainfall areas, consider an IP65-rated fitting for greater weather protection.

Does the light shine upward or downward?

The Magnus is a downlight only. The LED is positioned at the top of the cylinder and shines down through the clear lens at the base, creating a defined pool of light on the ground or surface below the fitting.

Can the GX53 bulb be replaced?

Yes. The GX53 is a twist-lock fitting that can be accessed from underneath the cylinder by twisting the bulb anti-clockwise. The included 5.7W LED has a typical lifespan of 25,000+ hours, but replacement GX53 LEDs are available separately if needed.

What wall surfaces can it be mounted on?

The Magnus can be mounted on masonry, brick, rendered walls or timber cladding using appropriate fixings for the substrate. The rear wall plate conceals cable entry and provides four fixing points for secure installation.
