Description

A single spotlight head that clips into the Magneto low voltage track and puts its light exactly where you want it. The optic zooms, so the same head can throw a tight column onto a picture or open out to cover a wider area, and you set that by hand rather than swapping the fitting. The integrated LED draws 7W and gives 560 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, which sits kindly on wood, plaster and warm paint colours. The finish is black throughout, head and stem, so it reads quietly against a dark ceiling line.

We reach for this where a room needs light aimed rather than spread: art on a chimney breast, a shelf of ceramics, a length of worktop, a stairwell wall. Because the head slides along the track and swivels, it suits people who rearrange, or who hang new pictures and want the light to follow. Dimming is done with a triac dimmer, and we stock the controller for this range if you would rather take the whole track down from one point.

It is a compact head, light in the hand, with the driver built in so nothing extra hangs off it. Keep it indoors and dry. The black finish stays best if you switch off, let the head cool and go over it with a dry microfibre cloth, keeping sprays and kitchen cleaners away from the lens. It carries a three year warranty. We hold the rest of the range in black as well: shallow and deep surface track, recessed track, L-joints for corners and wall to wall runs, and end caps to finish the ends. A dimmer is not supplied with the head.
