Track runs rarely go straight from one end of a room to the other. This corner piece takes the deep Magneto surface track around an outward turn where two walls meet, and it carries all three circuits through the joint, so the lights either side stay on the same control. Each arm measures 11cm, and the body is slim and black to sit quietly against the track it joins. We keep it in stock alongside the rest of the Magneto parts, because a corner is the one thing most runs end up needing.

Deep Magneto track earns its keep in kitchens, studios, galleries and open plan rooms where the lighting has to follow the shape of the space rather than a single wall. This joint is what lets a run turn the corner of a chimney breast or a projecting wall and keep going, with no break in the circuits along the way. It suits anyone planning a scheme in stages, since the track can be added to and rearranged later. It is a non-electrical part, so the spots, pendants and modules you choose do the lighting.

The finish is black throughout, chosen to disappear into the line of the track rather than to draw the eye at the turn. Keep it clean by running a dry cloth along the joint when you dust the track, and leave sprays and damp cloths well away from the contacts inside. It carries a three year warranty. The same joint is made for an inward corner and as a right angle turn, and the deep surface track, end caps, a constant voltage driver and a dimmable controller all come from the same range, so a whole system can be built up piece by piece.

Which track does this joint fit?

It is made for the deep Magneto surface track, the 5.5cm profile supplied as M8371 and M8372. It will not fit the shallow 3cm track or the recessed track, both of which have their own joints.

What does wall to wall out mean?

It turns the run around an outward, or external, corner, such as the edge of a chimney breast. For an internal corner where two walls meet inwards, the wall to wall in version is the one you want.

How big is it?

Each arm is 110mm long and 110mm wide overall, with a height of 27mm, and it weighs 0.18kg.

Does it pass power through?

Yes. It is a three circuit connector, so all circuits continue through the corner and the lighting on both sides can be switched or dimmed as one system.

Is it suitable for a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20, which makes it a part for dry interior rooms only.

How should it be cleaned?

A dry cloth wiped along the outside is enough. Do not use cleaning sprays, solvents or a damp cloth near the electrical contacts.
