Magneto Deep 3 Connector Surface L-Joint Wall To Wall In - Black

This is the corner piece in our Magneto ceiling lighting system: a compact black joint, 11cm along each side and only 27mm deep, that carries a run of deep surface track around an internal angle where two walls meet. It keeps the electrical path continuous through the turn, so one feed can serve track on both legs, and it takes no lamp of its own.

We reach for it when a scheme is planned as one continuous line rather than a set of separate fittings: a kitchen where the track follows the worktop into the corner, an open-plan living room, a hallway that changes direction, or a display wall where spotlights need to sit anywhere along the run. It suits anyone building the Magneto system up piece by piece, and it is the inward version, for a turn that closes in on the room rather than wrapping around a projecting corner.

The finish is black, matched to the deep track, its end caps and the rest of the joints, so a finished run reads as one piece rather than a set of parts. The low profile keeps the corner tidy and unfussy. Cleaning is a matter of running a duster over the top face now and then; if marks show, use a barely damp cloth with the power off and dry it straight after. It is intended for dry rooms indoors. It carries a three year warranty. Which track does this fit?

It is made for the Magneto deep surface and pendant track, references M8371 and M8372, which measures 5.5cm wide. It will not pair with the shallow or recessed profiles, as each of those has its own set of joints.

How much space does it need in the corner?

It measures 110mm along each leg and stands 27mm deep, so allow a little over 10cm of wall on both sides of the angle for the joint itself before the track picks up again.

Does it hold a lamp or a driver?

No. It is a connector that carries the circuit through the corner. Spotlights, pendants and the driver sit elsewhere on the system.

Can it be used in a bathroom or outside?

It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry indoor rooms. Keep it away from splashes, steam and anything exposed to the weather.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 0.18kg, so it adds almost nothing to the loading of a run.

What is the best way to keep it looking right?

Dust it with a dry cloth as part of your usual routine. For fingermarks, switch the power off first, wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry it at once; avoid solvents and abrasive creams on the black finish.
