Description

The MAGfire keeper plate is a replacement or additional mounting plate for ESP DR916-24 and DR916-240 electromagnetic door locks. The plate comprises a white powder-coated steel base with four mounting holes and a brushed steel disc at the centre, which provides the magnetic contact surface for the lock to hold against.

Used in access control and security installations where the electromagnetic lock is fitted to the door frame and the keeper plate is fixed to the door itself, this component allows the maglock to hold the door closed when energised. The surface-mount design fixes directly to the door face with four screws through the corner holes, sitting flush against flat timber, metal or composite door surfaces.

The brushed steel disc provides a hard, corrosion-resistant contact surface that withstands repeated magnetic engagement without degrading. The white powder-coated surround integrates cleanly with white or light-coloured door finishes common in commercial, education and residential security installations. At 70mm square and 110g net weight, the keeper plate adds minimal bulk to the door while maintaining full holding force with compatible DR916 series maglocks.

Frequently Asked

Which maglocks is this keeper plate compatible with?

This keeper plate is designed for use with ESP DR916-24 and DR916-240 electromagnetic locks. It may not provide correct alignment or holding force with other maglock models.

How is the keeper plate fitted?

The plate mounts to the door face using four screws through the corner holes in the white base. The door must present a flat surface for the plate to sit flush, ensuring full magnetic contact between the lock and the brushed steel disc.

Can this be used outdoors or in damp environments?

The brushed steel disc resists corrosion, but the powder-coated base is suited to internal or sheltered locations. For outdoor installations exposed to weather, check with ESP for environmental ratings before fitting.
