Description

The MAGfire end of line resistor module is a sounder circuit termination component for conventional fire alarm panels, supplied as a pack of five individual modules. Each module contains a resistor that terminates a sounder circuit loop, allowing the fire panel to monitor circuit integrity and detect faults such as open circuits or short circuits on the sounder wiring.

Designed for installation at the furthest point on each sounder circuit run in conventional fire alarm systems, the module is typically mounted inside the last device on the loop or in a dedicated end-of-line termination box. The resistor value matches the monitoring requirements of ESP MAGfire conventional panels, enabling the panel to distinguish between normal, fault and alarm conditions on the sounder circuit.

Each module is supplied on axial leads with colour-coded banding for easy identification during installation and commissioning. The pack of five supports multiple zones or provides spares for multi-zone installations. The modules are passive components requiring no external power and are compatible with both polarised and non-polarised sounder circuits depending on panel configuration.

Frequently Asked

What fire alarm panels are these compatible with?

These end of line resistor modules are designed for ESP MAGfire conventional fire alarm panels. They may also be compatible with other conventional panels that use the same resistor value for sounder circuit monitoring — consult your panel documentation or contact us to confirm compatibility with non-ESP systems.

Where are these installed in a fire alarm system?

The resistor module is installed at the end of each sounder circuit loop, typically inside the last sounder device on the circuit or in a dedicated end-of-line junction box. This allows the fire panel to monitor the full length of the circuit wiring for faults.

How many modules are needed per zone?

One resistor module is required per sounder circuit. If your fire alarm system has five separate sounder zones, this pack provides one module for each zone. Additional modules can be kept as spares for maintenance.

Are these modules polarised?

Standard end of line resistors are non-polarised passive components. However, their installation orientation may matter depending on whether the panel uses polarised or non-polarised sounder circuit monitoring. Refer to the MAGfire panel installation manual for wiring guidance specific to your model.

Shipping & Returns

Free worldwide delivery

Free worldwide delivery on all orders over £99. International orders for third-party brand products may be subject to an additional courier surcharge based on volumetric weight, particularly on larger lighting fixtures — if a surcharge applies, our team will email you with the amount before dispatch and you can proceed or cancel for a full refund. See full delivery terms.

Returns

30-day returns window from delivery. As all our products are electrical or lighting goods, returned items must be inspected and recertified by a qualified electrician before resale — the cost of this inspection (25–40% of the item value) is deducted from your refund.
