The Madison is a two light floor lamp with a slim upright stem carrying two round glass globes on offset holders, one set a little higher than the other, over a flat round base. It stands 154cm tall and 36cm across, and it is made from brass, steel and glass. Each globe takes one E27 bulb, and the bulbs are sold separately, so you choose your own, up to 40W per bulb. The glass comes in Clear, Frosted or Smoked, and the finish in Matt Black & Antique Brass, Matt Black & Antique Silver, Matt Black, Matt Black & Polished Brass, Matt Black & Satin Brass or White.

It is a lamp for the living room: beside a sofa or an armchair, next to a reading chair, or in a corner that wants light at eye level. Clear glass leaves the bulbs on view, Frosted gives a softer, more even glow, and Smoked tints the light for a quieter mood in the evening. It plugs in, with a UK plug on a 1.5m cable as standard, so it needs no wiring in and is easy to move when you rearrange the room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

Every Madison lamp is made to order for you in Ireland, and the two painted colours are Matt Black RAL 9005 and White RAL 9010, so you can match them to other paintwork in the room. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered.
