Description

The Maddison is a 2-light crystal wall light built around a tiered polished chrome frame dressed with rectangular and square-cut crystals arranged in cascading geometric strands. Two G9 bulbs sit inside the upper and lower chrome rings, concealed by the crystal layers but casting light through and around the cut glass to create refractive sparkle across the 250mm-wide fitting.

Designed for living room feature walls, bedroom side-of-bed positions, hallways and dining rooms where wall-mounted accent lighting adds decorative interest without taking up floor space. The 150mm projection from the wall allows the crystals to layer forward, creating depth and dimension when the light is on. The fitting mounts to standard UK back boxes and the G9 bulbs (sold separately) can be LED, halogen or filament depending on preferred brightness and warmth.

The polished chrome frame provides high reflectivity that amplifies the crystal sparkle, while the open geometric arrangement of the crystal strands gives the Maddison a lighter, less dense appearance than traditional crystal wall sconces. Each crystal is precision-cut with faceted edges, so when the bulbs are lit the fitting throws small points of refracted light onto surrounding walls and ceilings. The 280mm height suits standard ceiling-to-picture-rail proportions in UK homes.

What bulbs does the Maddison take?

The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, though halogen G9s remain an option for those preferring traditional light quality.

Is the Maddison dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED G9 bulbs are dimmable, so check the bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the mains power and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal strand gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or allowing water to drip onto the chrome frame or bulb sockets.

Can the Maddison be installed in a bathroom?

The fitting does not carry an IP rating and is designed for dry interior locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor use.
