Description

The Maddison is a two-light crystal wall light built on a French gold frame with two tiers of cascading geometric crystal droplets. The upper tier sits 280mm high and 250mm wide, with long rectangular and square-cut crystals hanging in vertical strands from a polished gold band. Two G9 bulb holders sit inside the crystal cascade, positioned to backlight the crystals and throw refracted light onto the wall and into the room.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where decorative wall lighting is needed without a pendant fixture, the Maddison provides both ambient and accent light. The 150mm projection from the wall means it suits walls with clearance from furniture and doorways. The French gold finish is a warm antique tone — less yellow than polished brass, closer to aged gold — that pairs with warm neutrals, deep greens, navy and traditional wood finishes.

Each crystal is individually hung from the gold frame, so the strands move slightly when the door closes or air circulates, creating shifting light patterns on the wall. The frame construction is solid metal, giving the 1.8kg fitting enough weight to stay secure on a standard wall plate once installed. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs (sold separately), allowing the intensity to be adjusted for evening use or mood lighting.

The Maddison takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 LED bulbs. The wall light itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but the bulbs must also be rated as dimmable for the dimming function to work correctly.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 150mm from the wall once installed. This means it needs clearance from furniture, door frames and high-traffic areas to avoid the crystals being knocked.

Can the crystals be removed for cleaning?

The crystals are individually hung from the frame and can be carefully removed for cleaning. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth or a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid soaking the crystals or using chemical sprays.
