Description
The Lyria is a 30cm spherical wall light with a blown and acid-etched white glass diffuser mounted on a white metal bracket. The sphere houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) which projects light through the etched glass in all directions, creating soft ambient illumination with no glare. The acid-etched surface gives the glass a translucent, frosted appearance that diffuses light evenly across the sphere.
Designed for hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and any indoor space needing ambient wall lighting, the Lyria works as a single feature light on a feature wall or in multiples along corridors and staircases. The 30cm diameter gives the fitting enough presence to anchor a wall visually without needing additional fixtures nearby. The white metal bracket sits flush to the wall and the sphere projects approximately 15cm from the mounting surface, providing clearance for walkways and doorways.
The glass sphere is blown into a spherical mould, then acid-etched to achieve the frosted white finish. This process softens the light output and hides the bulb filament or LED internals from view when lit, so the entire sphere appears as a single glowing object rather than a visible light source inside a shade. The white metal bracket matches the frosted glass tonally, creating a cohesive monochrome look that pairs with white walls, light-toned interiors and Scandi-minimalist schemes.
The Lyria is dimmable when paired with a compatible E27 dimmable bulb and dimmer switch on the circuit. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor areas only — not bathrooms, outdoor locations or areas exposed to moisture. The 5-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the glass and metal components.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Lyria take?
The Lyria takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 6-10W warm-white LED globe bulb or a clear filament LED to suit the spherical diffuser shape. The fitting is dimmable when used with a dimmable E27 bulb and compatible dimmer switch.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The Lyria carries an IP20 rating, which means it is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, outdoor locations or anywhere exposed to moisture or splashing water.
How far does it project from the wall?
The 30cm sphere projects approximately 15cm from the wall surface when mounted. The white metal bracket sits flush to the wall, with the sphere extending outward to provide clearance for ambient light distribution.
Is the glass sphere replaceable if damaged?
The glass diffuser is a separate component from the metal bracket. Contact Ideal Lux or Niori for spare parts availability if the glass sphere is damaged and needs replacement.
