Description

The Luxix is a 62cm LED bathroom mirror light with an integrated 17W LED strip delivering warm 3000K light through a combined transparent and satin acrylic diffuser. The polished chrome frame provides a high-shine metallic finish, and the fitting is rated IP44 for safe installation in bathroom zone 2 (outside the immediate shower enclosure).

Designed to sit above or alongside mirrors in medium to large bathrooms, the 62cm length provides even illumination across the width of a typical 60-80cm mirror without creating central hot spots or edge fall-off. The 40mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting close to the surface, making it suitable for narrower spaces where a deeper arm would intrude. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm-white range, reducing the clinical harshness of cool LEDs while still providing clarity for grooming tasks.

The diffuser combines transparent and satin-finish acrylic sections to soften the LED strip without fully blocking the light output, balancing brightness with glare control. The metal frame is finished in polished chrome that reflects ambient light and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and other bathroom fittings. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux, covering the entire fitting including the LED module and driver.

Frequently Asked

What bathroom zones can this be used in?

The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zone 2, which covers areas outside the immediate shower enclosure and bath area. It cannot be installed inside a shower cubicle or directly above a bathtub.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 17W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The entire fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covering the LED module and driver, which typically outlasts traditional bulb-based fittings.

What mirror width does this suit?

The 62cm length works well above mirrors between 60-80cm wide. For narrower mirrors the fitting may overhang; for wider mirrors (90cm+) consider pairing two smaller fittings or using a longer variant if available.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The Luxix is non-dimmable and operates at full 17W output when switched on. If dimming is required, consider an alternative model with dimmer compatibility or use a smart switch with on/off scheduling instead.
