Description

The Luxix is a 420mm chrome bathroom mirror light with an integrated 11W LED delivering warm 3000K light through a combined transparent and satin acrylic diffuser. The polished chrome body sits 40mm proud of the wall on a rectangular backplate designed to mount horizontally above or alongside a bathroom mirror.

Rated IP44, the Luxix is suitable for bathroom zone 2 — away from direct shower spray but within the general bathroom environment where condensation and humidity are present. The 420mm length suits bathroom mirrors between 500-800mm wide, providing even wash light across the mirror surface without creating harsh shadows under the chin or cheekbones during morning routines. The fitting installs onto standard UK bathroom wiring and does not require a separate driver or transformer.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient bathroom light and pairs cleanly with chrome taps, showerheads and towel rails in coordinated bathroom schemes. The satin acrylic section of the diffuser softens the LED output to reduce glare when viewed directly in the mirror, while the transparent acrylic allows higher light transmission where brightness is needed. The metal construction and IP44 sealing provide durability in humid conditions, and the integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement over the fitting's lifespan.

Frequently Asked

Which bathroom zones is this light suitable for?

The IP44 rating makes the Luxix suitable for bathroom zone 2, which covers general bathroom areas away from direct shower spray or bath splash. It is not rated for zone 0 (inside the bath or shower) or zone 1 (directly above the bath or shower to a height of 2.25m).

Can it be fitted vertically beside a mirror?

The Luxix is designed for horizontal mounting above a mirror, where the 420mm length provides even light distribution across the mirror width. Vertical mounting is mechanically possible but the elongated shape works less effectively in this orientation.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for a long service life, typically 25,000-30,000 hours, which equates to around 15-20 years of typical household use at 3-4 hours per day.

What mirror width does it suit?

The 420mm length works best with bathroom mirrors between 500-800mm wide, providing balanced light coverage without looking too small or too large relative to the mirror. For wider mirrors, consider pairing two Luxix fittings or choosing a longer variant from the range.
