Description

The Luxeon Slim L-connector is a 100mm x 100mm horizontal track connector that joins two track lighting sections at a 90-degree angle. Built from moulded black plastic with internal copper contacts, it carries power through the corner and includes an integrated on-off switch to isolate one section of track without disconnecting the entire circuit.

Designed for surface-mounted track lighting installations in commercial and residential interiors, the connector suits retail displays, kitchen task lighting runs, gallery walls and office ceiling grids where track needs to turn a corner. The horizontal orientation means both track sections enter the connector from the same plane, keeping the installation flush to the ceiling or wall surface without stepping down.

The black finish matches most single-circuit track systems and blends into dark ceilings or provides contrast against white. The plastic body is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations and carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. Installation involves sliding the track ends into the connector apertures and tightening the internal locking screws — no additional wiring is needed as the contacts transfer power mechanically.

What does the on-off switch control?

Can it be used on walls as well as ceilings?

Yes. The horizontal orientation works equally well on ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted track installations. The 100mm square footprint remains compact in both orientations.

Does it support dimmable circuits?

The connector itself does not include dimming functionality. If the track circuit is connected to a dimmer upstream, the connector will pass the dimmed power through to any compatible dimmable fittings on the track.
