Luxeon-1 Recessed Magnetic Track 1m - Black

The Luxeon-1 is a 1m recessed magnetic track lighting system in black aluminium, designed to sit flush within ceilings or walls with a 56mm projection depth. The track accepts magnetic-mounted spotlight fittings that attach directly to the track surface and can be repositioned without tools along the full 1000mm length.

Designed for residential kitchens, retail displays, galleries and commercial office spaces where lighting needs change frequently, the magnetic system allows spotlights to be added, removed or repositioned in seconds without disconnecting any wiring. The track carries the electrical supply along its length and transfers power through the magnetic connection to each attached fitting. The black finish integrates cleanly into contemporary, industrial and minimalist ceiling treatments where the track either blends into dark ceilings or provides a defined linear accent on white plaster.

The aluminium extrusion acts as a heatsink for the LED fittings mounted to it, drawing heat away from the light sources and extending their operational life. The 56mm projection includes both the track depth and the mounting flanges that sit against the ceiling surface once recessed into the cut-out. Installation requires a matching 1m linear aperture cut into the ceiling, with the track fixed into the void above using the supplied brackets. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only.

Compatible magnetic track spotlights are sold separately and must be specified to match the Luxeon-1 track system. Track segments can be joined end-to-end using connector accessories to create longer runs or corner configurations, though each segment requires its own driver connection.

What fittings are compatible with this track?

The Luxeon-1 accepts magnetic track spotlights specifically designed for the Ideal Lux Luxeon magnetic track system. Standard rail track fittings will not work. Compatible spotlights attach magnetically and draw power directly through the magnetic connection without separate wiring.

Can the track be dimmed?

Yes, the track itself supports dimming when paired with a compatible dimmable driver and dimmer switch. The actual dimming behaviour depends on the specific magnetic spotlights fitted to the track and whether they are dimmable LED modules.

How is it installed into the ceiling?

A 1000mm linear aperture must be cut into the ceiling to match the track profile. The track is then fixed into the ceiling void using mounting brackets and connected to a mains driver. The track sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, with only the black aluminium face visible.

Can multiple tracks be joined together?

Yes, using track connector accessories. Each 1m segment requires its own driver connection, but connectors allow multiple tracks to be aligned end-to-end or at angles to create longer runs or corner configurations.
