Description

The Luna is a 13cm frosted glass sphere pendant light that mounts onto Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system via a white ceiling plate and cable drop. The integrated 5W LED inside the globe offers adjustable colour temperature from 3000K warm white to 6000K cool white, controlled via a compatible smart dimmer or remote (sold separately). The pendant runs on 48V DC supplied by the track, eliminating mains voltage at the fitting itself.

Designed for use over kitchen islands, dining tables, and bedside reading positions where individual pendant placement matters, the Luna's magnetic mounting allows it to be repositioned along the Exility track without rewiring. Multiple Luna pendants can be installed on a single track run, with each pendant drawing 5W. The frosted glass diffuses the LED evenly across the sphere, avoiding hotspots and providing glare-free task and ambient light.

The white metal ceiling plate and cable match the frosted white globe, creating a monochrome look that pairs with white ceilings, pale wood, and neutral-toned interiors. The 13cm globe diameter suits typical 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights when hung 600-800mm above a worktop or table surface. The IP20 rating limits the Luna to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens directly above hobs, or outdoor use.

Frequently Asked

What track system does the Luna use?

The Luna mounts onto Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system. It cannot be used with standard UK ceiling roses or conventional pendant fittings. The Exility track supplies 48V DC power and allows the pendant to be repositioned magnetically without rewiring.

How is the colour temperature and dimming controlled?

The Luna requires a compatible smart dimmer or remote control to adjust colour temperature (3000-6000K) and brightness. The pendant itself has no built-in controls. Check Maytoni's accessory range for compatible controllers.

Can multiple Luna pendants be installed on one track?

Yes. Each Luna draws 5W, so the total wattage of all pendants on a single track run must not exceed the track's power supply rating. Consult the Exility track specification to confirm the maximum load capacity.

Is the Luna suitable for bathrooms?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms, or outdoor use.
