Lumis Outdoor Wall Light - Brown

The Lumis is a single-lamp outdoor wall light with a brown powder-coated die-cast aluminium frame, a curved gooseneck arm, and a clear acrylic globe diffuser. The lamp head houses one E27 bulb (sold separately) beneath a conical metal shade that directs light downward and outward through the transparent globe. The IP43 rating provides splash protection suitable for covered porches, doorways and underhangs.

Designed for traditional and period-style exteriors, the Lumis works on front door surrounds, garage walls, courtyard gates and garden shed walls where a downward wash of light is needed for safe passage after dark. The 460mm projection from the wall means the lamp sits well clear of the mounting surface, reducing wall shadows and allowing the globe to cast light across a wider arc. The curved arm and turned detailing echo heritage street lighting, while the brown finish pairs with terracotta, brick and warm-toned render.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in typical UK coastal and inland conditions, and the powder-coat finish is applied over a zinc base for additional weather resistance. The clear acrylic diffuser is impact-resistant and UV-stabilised to prevent yellowing over time. At 280mm height and 460mm projection, the fitting suits standard door heights of 2m and above without dominating the wall plane. The E27 lampholder accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, allowing control over light colour and intensity.

Is the Lumis suitable for fully exposed outdoor locations?

The IP43 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for covered porches, underhangs and doorways. It is not rated for full weather exposure such as open garden walls in driving rain. For fully exposed positions, an IP44 or higher rating is recommended.

What bulb does it take?

The Lumis takes one standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W, sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for a soft glow that suits traditional exteriors.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable E27 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming but the bulb must also be rated as dimmable.

How is it fitted?

The Lumis mounts to a standard outdoor electrical box via the rectangular backplate. The backplate is 120mm tall and has two fixing points. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician and the circuit must be protected by an RCD.
