The Luminous is a 51cm LED picture light with an integrated 12.5W 3000K LED strip housed inside a polished chrome bar. The fitting mounts directly above a frame via a rectangular chrome backplate, positioning the LED strip parallel to the top edge of the artwork to cast light downwards across the surface. An opal plastic diffuser runs the length of the bar, softening the LED output into an even wash.

Designed for medium-sized frames between 40-60cm wide, the Luminous suits oil paintings, prints, photographs and framed textiles where controlled illumination prevents glare on glass or varnish. The 92mm projection from the wall angles light down onto the frame without the fitting itself casting shadows, and the 15mm profile keeps the bar visually recessive above the artwork. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light that renders colours naturally without the cooler blue cast of daylight-temperature LEDs.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs with contemporary and mid-century interiors where metallic accents are already present. The metal construction provides a rigid mount that prevents the fitting from sagging over time, which is critical when the light is positioned above valuable or irreplaceable artwork. The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior rooms, making the Luminous appropriate for living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and offices but not bathrooms or outdoor covered areas.
