Description

The Luminis is a 40cm outdoor bollard light built from die-cast aluminium with a black powder-coated finish and a Pyrex glass diffuser at the head. The diffuser sits within a horizontal louvre structure that directs light downward while internal aluminium components shield the bulb from direct view, reducing glare along pathways and patio edges.

Designed for pathway lighting, driveway edges and low-level garden illumination, the 40cm height places the light source at shin-to-knee level, casting light onto the ground without creating eye-level brightness that can disrupt sightlines across a garden. The IP65 rating protects internal components from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the bollard suitable for year-round outdoor installation in exposed locations including coastal areas.

The die-cast aluminium body resists corrosion and impact better than sheet metal alternatives, and the black finish is applied as a baked powder coat that bonds to the metal surface rather than sitting as a painted layer. The bollard accepts a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or warm filament depending on the desired light temperature and running cost. The 155mm diameter base provides stability on paving, gravel and compacted soil without needing a wide concrete foundation.
