Description

The Lumara is a 1260mm linear pendant light with an integrated 20W LED module running the full length of a matt black aluminium body. The LED sits behind an opal acrylic diffuser that runs the length of the bar, casting 3000K warm white light downward and minimising glare. The cylindrical canopy mounts to a standard ceiling rose and the PVC-sleeved cable is height-adjustable on installation.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and office workstations where task lighting needs to cover a linear area rather than a single point, the 1260mm length suits tables and islands between 1400-1800mm long. The 15mm body height keeps the fixture low-profile when viewed from the side, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a chunky fitting would feel intrusive. The IP20 rating confirms indoor-only use.

The matt black powder-coated aluminium finish absorbs reflections under daylight and pairs cleanly with black tapware, appliances and joinery in contemporary kitchens. The 20W LED output at 3000K provides functional task light without the cooler clinical tone of 4000K commercial fittings. The integrated LED is not dimmable and not user-replaceable, so when the LED reaches end-of-life the entire fitting is replaced. Is the Lumara dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at full 20W output when switched on. Pairing it with a dimmer switch will cause flicker or may damage the driver.

What length table or island does it suit?

The 1260mm length works well above tables or kitchen islands between 1400-1800mm long. For longer runs, Ideal Lux produces the Lumara in multiple lengths that can be installed in parallel.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED is integrated into the body and not user-replaceable. LED lifespan is typically 25,000-50,000 hours. When the LED reaches end-of-life the entire fitting is replaced. The 5-year Ideal Lux warranty covers defects during that period.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 15mm body height and adjustable cable drop make the Lumara suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights when hung 700-900mm above a worktop or dining table. Higher ceilings can accommodate a longer drop.
