Luella 4 Light Duo-Mount Chandelier/Semi-Flush - Brushed Natural Brass

The Luella is a 559mm diameter four-light chandelier finished entirely in brushed natural brass, from the shallow drum shade to the curving arms, central stem and ceiling canopy. Four E14 bulb holders sit inside the drum behind the brass exterior, with the light directed downwards and diffused through a white-painted interior, creating a soft pool of ambient light beneath the fitting. The Luella offers duo-mount functionality — it installs as a semi-flush ceiling light with a 230mm drop, or as a pendant chandelier using the included stem extension to a maximum 1144mm drop.

The fixture suits dining rooms where ceiling heights range from 2.4m to 3.2m, allowing the same fitting to work as a low-profile semi-flush in a standard-height room or as a traditional pendant over a dining table in a taller space. The drop is adjusted on installation by including or omitting sections of the stem. The 559mm diameter provides coverage for dining tables up to 1600mm in length or kitchen islands of similar size, while remaining compact enough for entrance halls and secondary living spaces. The brushed natural brass finish reads warmer than polished brass, with a matte surface that reduces reflections and pairs well with oak, walnut and warm-toned textiles.

How does the duo-mount functionality work?

The Luella ships with a stem extension that allows it to be installed either as a semi-flush ceiling light (230mm drop from ceiling to base of shade) or as a pendant chandelier (up to 1144mm drop). The stem sections are included or omitted during installation to achieve the desired drop. Once installed, the drop cannot be adjusted without re-fitting.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes four E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair the Luella with E14 LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for a softer ambient light, or clear filament LED candles for a more decorative effect when the bulbs are visible from below.

What size dining table does it suit?

The 559mm diameter works over dining tables up to approximately 1600mm in length or kitchen islands of similar size. For tables larger than 1800mm, consider using two Luella fittings spaced evenly, or pairing with additional directional lighting from track or recessed fittings.

How is the brass finish maintained?

Brushed natural brass develops a natural patina over time, deepening in tone without tarnishing. To maintain the original brushed appearance, wipe occasionally with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid chemical polishes or abrasive cleaners. If a deeper patina is preferred, allow the brass to age naturally without intervention.
