Description

The Lucina is a 600mm semi-flush ceiling light with six white blown glass diffusers arranged on a circular metal base finished in gold leaf. Each diffuser is acid-etched and carries horizontal relief stripes that scatter the light from the E27 bulbs inside, turning the glass into a diffuser rather than a simple shade. The gold leaf base sits 200mm below the ceiling, giving the fitting a low-profile presence that works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls where central ceiling lighting needs to cover a 4-5m space, the Lucina provides distributed ambient light across six points rather than a single central source. The six E27 fittings accept LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer. The IP20 rating limits the Lucina to dry indoor environments only.

The gold leaf finish on the metal base is applied by hand, so each Lucina shows slight variation in the leaf pattern and tonal warmth depending on how the leaf adhered during finishing. The white glass diffusers are individually blown and acid-etched, meaning no two pieces are identical in weight or exact stripe depth. The combined glass and metal construction gives the fitting a total weight of approximately 3.5kg, requiring a secure ceiling rose and appropriate fixings into solid ceiling joists or reinforced plasterboard.
