Description

The Lucia is a 311mm flush ceiling light built around a burnished silver metal drum frame with Bauhinia-cut crystals set into a lattice pattern around the circumference. Two E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the drum, casting light through a glass bottom diffuser and through the crystals, which reflect and refract the light across the ceiling plane. A linen inner shade softens the direct output from the bulbs.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Lucia provides ambient ceiling-level light in bedrooms, hallways, dressing rooms and low-ceilinged living areas. The 210mm fitting height from ceiling to bottom diffuser leaves clearance beneath while keeping the light source close enough to the ceiling to wash the surface. The burnished silver finish has a tarnished, aged quality rather than the high polish of chrome, so it reads softer in traditional and transitional interiors.

Each Bauhinia crystal is faceted in a symmetrical sunflower pattern and housed within the teardrop-shaped apertures of the metal lattice. When lit, the crystals catch and scatter light in multiple directions, adding depth and movement to what would otherwise be a flat ceiling-mounted fitting. The linen shade inside the drum prevents direct bulb glare while the glass diffuser on the underside distributes the downlight evenly. The frame and crystal combination gives the fitting a more detailed appearance than a plain fabric flush mount.
