Description

The Lucera is a 250mm outdoor wall light in powder-coated grey die-cast aluminium with a white acrylic diffuser and a single E27 bulb fitting. The curved aluminium frame wraps around the diffuser, creating a semi-cylindrical profile that projects 120mm from the wall and directs light both downwards and outwards.

Built for outdoor installation on house walls, garage exteriors, garden walls and patio areas, the Lucera carries an IP44 rating for protection against solid objects above 1mm and water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for covered and semi-exposed positions in UK weather, but not for areas subject to direct hose-down or full rain exposure. The E27 fitting accepts standard screw-base LED, halogen or CFL bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), and the light is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.

The die-cast aluminium construction gives the fitting durability against corrosion and impact damage, while the powder-coated grey finish provides a neutral tone that pairs with most house exterior colours without dominating the facade. The white acrylic diffuser softens the light output and reduces glare, making the fitting comfortable to walk past at eye level. At 250mm wide the Lucera suits most single and double garage doors, porch entrances and standard external wall widths without overwhelming smaller doorways.

What bulb does the Lucera take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor path and entrance lighting.

Is it suitable for uncovered outdoor positions?

The IP44 rating protects against splashes and light rain from any direction, making it suitable for covered porches, partially sheltered garden walls and garage entrances. It is not rated for full exposure to heavy rain or areas subject to direct hose-down or pressure washing.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and a dimmable bulb. The fitting itself supports dimming, but both the bulb and the household dimmer must also support the function for it to work correctly.

What colour temperature should I choose for the bulb?

For outdoor entrance and path lighting, warm-white bulbs between 2700K-3000K provide a welcoming tone. Cool-white bulbs above 4000K give a brighter, more utilitarian light suitable for security or task-focused outdoor areas.
