Description

This ceramic cloud ornament brings a soft, sleepy little scene to a baby's room. Across its white face run the words LOVE YOU to the moon and back, beside a grey elephant with a rainbow-striped ear, lifting its trunk towards a smiling crescent moon among tiny yellow, pink and mint stars. It measures 7.8cm tall, 11.5cm wide and 3.1cm deep, so it fits a narrow shelf easily, and its flat base lets it sit upright on its own with no easel or wall fixing needed.

We picture it on a nursery mantelpiece, a bookshelf, a windowsill or the top of a chest of drawers, anywhere a gentle message can be read at a glance. It makes a thoughtful baby shower gift, a sweet keepsake to mark a birth and a cheerful touch at a gender reveal, as well as a warm way to congratulate parents on the arrival of their little one. The words and soft colours suit a baby's first three years, and the message stays just as true long afterwards, so it can move from the nursery to a growing child's bedroom shelf without looking out of place.

Made from ceramic, it has a smooth white surface and softly rounded edges that follow the outline of the cloud. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth or wipe it gently with a damp one, avoiding anything abrasive that could mark the printed design. It is a decorative keepsake rather than a toy, so it is happiest on a shelf above little hands. Wrap it in tissue with a handwritten card and the parents have a gift they can set out in the nursery the day it arrives.
