Description

The Lotus is a 1.24m vertical outdoor LED wall light with a narrow 54mm wide black aluminium bar housing an integrated 18W LED module. The LED produces 1900 lumens of 3000K warm white light distributed through a frosted diffuser across the 120° beam angle, casting vertical bands of light up and down the wall surface.

Designed for external wall mounting on entrances, courtyard walls, terrace boundaries and covered outdoor corridors, the Lotus sits nearly flush to the wall with a 50mm projection. The narrow width and tall profile allow the fitting to sit between architectural features, alongside doorframes or in vertical recesses where a wider wall light would not fit. The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor positions and exposed walls under eaves.

The black powder-coated aluminium finish resists UV degradation and surface corrosion in outdoor conditions. At 1.72kg the fitting mounts to standard masonry fixings, with the integral LED driver housed within the bar itself so no separate control gear box is needed. The non-dimmable LED is rated for 25,000 hours of operation at full output, which translates to approximately 10 years of typical evening-only use before noticeable decline.

Can this be installed in fully exposed outdoor positions?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for covered outdoor positions and walls under eaves. For fully exposed positions with direct rain or coastal spray, a higher IP rating (IP65 or above) would provide better long-term protection.

Does the light shine up, down or both?

The 120° beam angle and diffuser design cast light both upwards and downwards along the wall surface, creating vertical bands of light rather than a directed beam. This produces ambient wash lighting rather than focused task lighting.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light operates at full 1900lm output when powered on.

What wall fixings are needed?

The 1.72kg fitting mounts to masonry with standard wall plugs and screws suitable for the wall material (brick, rendered block, concrete). Fixings are not included. The backplate has two mounting points spaced vertically along the bar.
