Description

The Los 176 is a dual-function LED wall light with a 140mm round black aluminium backplate, an adjustable reading spotlight projecting from the face, and an integrated LED halo around the perimeter. The spotlight head pivots on a brass-bushed joint, allowing the 3W beam to be directed onto reading material, a bedside table or a wall feature, while the 6W backlight provides a constant warm halo around the fitting. Both light sources run at 3000K.

Designed for bedside installation, hallway accent lighting and living room reading corners, the Los 176 offers task and ambient lighting in a single fitting without needing two separate fixtures. The reading spotlight can be angled independently of the backlight, so the halo provides orientation lighting while the spot delivers focused reading light. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas — bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and home offices where no water exposure is anticipated.

The black aluminium construction weighs approximately 450g and mounts to a standard UK single-gang back box or direct to solid wall using the supplied fixings. The round backplate sits 65mm proud of the wall once installed, giving clearance for the spotlight to pivot without fouling furniture or bed frames. The matt black finish softens reflections and pairs with both warm-toned and monochrome contemporary interiors. The integrated LED modules are non-replaceable but carry a rated lifespan of 25,000 hours at the manufacturer's specification.

Can the reading spotlight and backlight be controlled separately?

This depends on how the fitting is wired. The Los 176 has dual LED modules totaling 9W (3W spot + 6W halo). If wired to a single switch, both light sources operate together. Separate switching requires a two-gang switch and appropriate wiring during installation.

Is the Los 176 suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting offers no protection against moisture ingress and must only be used in dry indoor areas such as bedrooms, living rooms and hallways.

Can the spotlight head be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The spotlight head pivots on a joint, allowing it to be repositioned to direct light onto a reading surface, bedside table or wall feature. The backlight halo remains fixed around the perimeter of the fitting.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

No. The integrated LED modules are non-replaceable. Maytoni rates the LEDs at 25,000 hours lifespan, equivalent to approximately 11 years of use at 6 hours per day.
