Lori 4 Light Trapezium Pendant Light 80mm Amber - Polished Chrome

Four slim curved trapezium shades in amber glass sit in a row along a linear bar finished in polished chrome, each hung on its own adjustable suspension so the heights can be set to suit the room. The bar spans 1.2m, and the shades are narrow front to back, so the fitting reads as a line of warm points rather than a heavy block overhead. Each shade takes an E27 lamp of up to 20W, and with suitable lamps and a compatible dimmer on the circuit the light can be brought down low.

This is a fitting for a long surface: a kitchen island, a run of worktop, a dining table with real length to it. We reach for a linear pendant like this where a single centre light leaves the ends of a table dim, and the separate drops let you even out the spread. Amber glass warms whatever lamp sits behind it, which suits evening rooms and darker timber; it is a gentler thing to sit under than clear glass. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, on a household circuit with an earth connection.

Glass and metal throughout, with the polished finish carried across the bar, the ceiling plate and the suspensions. Keep the chrome clear of fingerprints with a dry microfibre cloth, and lift dust off the amber glass with a soft brush before it settles into the curve; nothing abrasive, and no spray cleaners near the lampholders. It carries a one year warranty. How far below the ceiling does it hang?

The drop is adjustable from 270mm at its shortest to 2270mm at its longest, so it can sit tight above a table or hang well down in a room with height.

What lamps does it need?

Four E27 lamps, each rated no higher than 20W. LED is the sensible choice, and the shade you see through will affect how the lamp looks, so a warm white LED suits the amber glass best. Lamps are supplied separately.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable lamps and a dimmer that is compatible with them. No dimmer is supplied with the fitting.

How long is the bar, and what size table does it suit?

It measures 1200mm along the bar and only 80mm across, which makes it a good fit above tables and islands of roughly that length or a little more.

How should I clean the amber glass?

Switch the power off at the wall and let the lamps cool first, then wipe the glass with a barely damp lint-free cloth and dry it straight away. Avoid solvents and abrasive creams, which will dull both the glass and the polished chrome.
