Description

Four slender shades hang in a row from a satin nickel bar, each drawn out into a wine shape with a narrow neck and a rounded body. They are clear, shading into smoke, so the lamp inside stays in view and the light carries through rather than being held back. The bar runs 1.2m end to end, and each shade sits on its own adjustable suspension, so you can drop them level or step them to follow a surface.

This is a light for long, narrow spaces: a kitchen island, a breakfast counter, a run of worktop, or a dining table where a single central pendant leaves the ends dim. We would reach for it in a room with a bit of height to play with, since the suspensions can be shortened right up or let down a long way. It takes E27 lamps of up to 20W each, and it will dim if you pair dimmable lamps with a compatible dimmer. Because the shades are see-through, the lamp is part of the look, so a neat globe or filament shape earns its keep here.

The bar and the suspensions are finished in satin nickel, a soft grey shine that sits quietly against pale ceilings and does not pick up marks the way a mirror finish does.
