Lori E27 3 Light Trapezium Pendant 80mm Chrome - Polished Chrome

Three slim curved trapezium shades hang in a line from a narrow bar, each in chrome against polished chrome metalwork, so the fitting reads as a continuous run of brightwork rather than a row of unrelated pendants. The bar measures 850mm across, long enough to spread light down the length of a table without crowding the room above it. Each shade carries its own E27 lamp, and the drop is adjustable over a generous range.

We would hang it over a dining table or a kitchen island, where a central pendant on its own tends to leave the ends in shadow, and it works well above a long console or a breakfast bar too. Because the height can be set low over a worktop or lifted clear of a walkway, it suits open-plan rooms where the fitting has to sit politely alongside everything else. It will dim if you pair it with suitable lamps and a compatible dimmer, neither of which comes with it. Keep it to dry rooms indoors; a shower room or an open porch wants something sealed against moisture.

The metalwork is finished in polished chrome and the shades match it, which gives a mirror-bright surface that picks up whatever colour is around it. Fingerprints and water spots show on a finish like this, so a dry microfibre cloth over the shades now and then is all it asks; skip the cream cleaners and sprays. We would fit LED lamps here, rated up to 20W each. It carries a one year warranty. How far down does it hang?

The drop is adjustable from 270mm at its shortest to 2270mm at its longest, so it can sit close under a standard ceiling or drop well down over a table in a taller room.

What lamps does it need?

Three E27 lamps, each rated up to a maximum of 20W. LED lamps are the sensible choice. Lamps are supplied separately.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, provided you use dimmable lamps together with a dimmer matched to them. Neither the lamps nor the dimmer are included.

How much room does it take up?

The bar is 850mm long and only 80mm wide, so it takes very little visual space front to back. The whole fitting weighs 3.7kg.

How should the chrome be cleaned?

Dust it with a dry, soft cloth, and lift fingerprints with a barely damp microfibre cloth followed by a dry buff. Avoid abrasive creams, scouring pads and household sprays, which will dull polished chrome.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No. It is intended for dry indoor rooms rather than areas subject to steam or splashing.
