Description

A slim satin nickel bar holds three opal globes in a line, each an open mouth round shade of 80mm across, so the row reads light rather than heavy. The opal diffuses the lamp behind it, giving a soft glow instead of a bare filament in view. Each pendant hangs on its own adjustable suspension, so the globes can sit level or drop at different heights along the bar.

At 850mm long it sits well over a kitchen island, a breakfast bar or a run of worktop, and it works equally over a narrow dining table or a hall console. The small globes keep the sightline open, which helps where a wider shade would crowd the room. It takes E27 lamps and dims with a compatible lamp and dimmer, neither of which comes with it. We stock it in satin nickel with opal shades, and it is one we suggest where a row of separate pendants would look busy. We would reach for warm white LED globes here, since the opal shades suit a round lamp shape.

The bar and the suspensions are finished in satin nickel, a soft grey sheen that keeps dust and fingerprints less obvious than polished metal. For cleaning, take the globes down once cool and wipe them clear, then run a dry cloth along the bar; nothing abrasive on either. It is an indoor fitting for dry rooms, and it carries a one year warranty. Elsewhere in the range the same opal globes appear on single light flush fittings in antique gold and polished chrome, alongside amber, smoke, green and iridescent shades. Lamps are not included.
