Description

The Loop is a single-bulb wall light built around a curved antique brass arm that sweeps from a circular backplate to hold a frosted glass globe 170mm out from the wall. The globe is a 100mm sphere with a mix of clear and frosted glass that softens the output from a single G9 bulb (sold separately) while still allowing some directional light through the clear sections.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls beside a bed, and alcove lighting in living rooms where a compact fitting is needed, the Loop's 170mm height and projection suit spaces where larger wall lights would dominate. The curved arm adds visual interest to flat wall surfaces without requiring a wide mounting area. The backplate is 100mm diameter and fixes to a standard wall bracket. The antique brass finish shows brushed metal tones with darker patina in the recesses, pairing well with traditional, Arts & Crafts and transitional interiors.

The fitting weighs 600g and can be mounted to plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings or directly to masonry with standard screws. Dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a compatible wall dimmer, giving control over light levels for evening use. The 220-240V rating is standard for UK mains, and the G9 socket accepts capsule bulbs up to the maximum wattage stated in the specification table.

What bulb does it take?

The Loop takes a single G9 capsule bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 between 2W-5W and 2700K-3000K for hallway or bedside lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LEDs are dimmable, so check the bulb packaging before purchasing.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 170mm from the wall surface to the outer edge of the glass globe. This is compact enough for narrow hallways and beside-bed mounting without the fitting protruding into walkways.

Can it be mounted on plasterboard walls?

Yes. The 600g weight can be supported on plasterboard with appropriate cavity fixings rated for at least 1kg. For masonry walls, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient.
