Description

This stoneware mug puts Daffy Duck front and centre, with a big, cheerful print of the famous Looney Tunes duck leaning across a clean white body. He grins with his tongue out and one wing raised above his head, his black feathers and orange beak sharp against the white. The inside and the chunky loop handle are a deep purple, which gives the whole mug a bright contrast each time you look into your drink. It holds 11oz, a good everyday size for a full coffee or a proper cup of tea, and stands 9.6cm tall, 11.5cm wide and 8cm deep.

It is a mug made for daily use, at home or at work. Keep it by the kettle for the first brew of the morning, take it to your desk for the afternoon tea round, or set it beside the sofa for an evening hot chocolate. The classic cartoon look sits happily in a bright family kitchen, a games room or a home office, and it brings a bit of fun to a cupboard of plain mugs. With its bold, easy to recognise print, it also makes a cheerful gift that needs very little explaining, ready to be used the day it is unwrapped.

The mug is made from ceramic stoneware, a solid material for everyday drinks, with a smooth, glossy finish over the print. The rounded handle leaves room for your fingers, and the straight sides make it easy to rinse out. We suggest washing it with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, and avoiding scourers that could scratch the print. Dry it with a clean tea towel before putting it away. To give it as a present, pair it with a bag of good coffee or a box of tea, or tuck a few biscuits inside for a ready-made treat.
