Description
The Looker is an adjustable floor lamp with an articulated beech wood arm, a matt white cylindrical metal shade, and a matt white square base. The arm slides and pivots through multiple positions on a mechanical joint system, allowing the lamp head to be positioned for reading light next to an armchair, task light over a desk surface, or as directional wash light onto a wall.
Designed for spaces where lighting needs change throughout the day, the Looker suits reading corners, home offices, and living rooms with flexible furniture arrangements. The beech arm provides warmth against the matt white metal, pairing comfortably with Scandinavian, mid-century and contemporary interiors. The 510mm arm reach from the base allows the light to be positioned 400-500mm over a desk or side table without the lamp needing to sit directly adjacent.
The square base measures 220mm across and carries 6kg of weight to counterbalance the extended arm without tipping. The exposed braided cable runs along the beech arm and down to the base, eliminating internal cable routing and giving the lamp a visible mechanical character. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 20W (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with a suitable E27 LED bulb and wall dimmer.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Looker take?
The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for reading or task lighting.
Is the Looker dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and a compatible wall dimmer. The lamp itself has no integrated dimmer switch, so dimming is controlled at the wall socket or via a plug-in dimmer module.
How stable is the base with the arm extended?
The 220mm square base carries 6kg of weight to counterbalance the extended arm. On hard floors and short-pile rugs the lamp remains stable when the arm is fully extended. On thick rugs or uneven surfaces the lamp may benefit from placement where the base sits on bare floor.
Can the arm be locked in position?
The articulated joint system holds the arm in place through friction rather than a mechanical lock. Once positioned the arm remains steady under the weight of the shade, but can be adjusted again by hand without tools.
