Description

The Loewe is a 660mm 5-light chandelier built around five curved antique brass arms extending outward from a central column. Each arm passes through a ring of bubbled crystal glass near the centre and terminates in an E14 socket fitted with a soft bronze pleated fabric shade. The antique brass frame is a muted, lightly oxidised finish that sits between polished and brushed tones, pairing well with both warm timber and neutral-toned interiors.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and larger sitting rooms, the Loewe works in spaces with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above. The adjustable chain drop ranges from 740mm minimum to 2240mm maximum, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 750-900mm above a dining table or lowered further in double-height entrance halls. The five E14 sockets (bulbs sold separately) provide multi-point light distribution across a 660mm spread, which suits tables up to 1800mm long or a 3-4m square room as a central ambient light source.

The bubbled crystal glass rings around each arm add texture and optical interest when the chandelier is lit, reflecting and refracting light emitted from the E14 bulbs inside the soft bronze shades. The pleated fabric shades diffuse the bulb glow rather than directing it, so the Loewe functions as ambient lighting rather than task lighting. The entire fitting weighs 7.4kg and requires a ceiling rose and support capable of carrying that load plus the weight of the chain.

The soft bronze fabric on the shades is a warm neutral tone with a hint of taupe, sitting between beige and grey. Yes, if you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself has no internal dimming mechanism, so dimming depends entirely on the bulbs and dimmer used.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Loewe takes 5 x E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K. Candle or golf ball bulb shapes work well inside the pleated fabric shades.
