Description

The Loewe is a 550mm diameter pendant light with three cream pleated organza shades mounted on an antique brass metal frame. Each shade is formed from vertical-pleated fabric that diffuses light evenly, and the three shades are spaced equally around the central brass stem to create a balanced cylindrical form. The pendant accepts three E27 bulbs (sold separately), each housed inside one of the fabric shades.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Loewe works as primary overhead lighting in rooms up to 16-20m². The drop is adjustable between 600mm and 2000mm on installation, allowing the pendant to be positioned 700-800mm above a dining surface or higher in double-height spaces. The antique brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable runs inside the stem.

The antique brass finish has a warmer, slightly oxidised tone compared to polished brass, which pairs well with interiors mixing wood tones, cream textiles and warmer neutrals. The pleated organza shades soften the light output and reduce glare, making the Loewe suitable for positions where the pendant sits within the eyeline when seated. At 4.1kg, the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings appropriate to the combined weight of pendant and bulbs.

What bulbs does it take?

The Loewe takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for a warm ambient light suitable for dining and living spaces.

Is the Loewe dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E27 bulbs and pair the pendant with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly with all dimmers, so check bulb and dimmer compatibility before pairing.

What drop height works best for a dining table?

For a standard 750mm-high dining table, position the pendant so the bottom of the shades sits 700-800mm above the table surface. This typically requires a total drop of 1500-1600mm from ceiling to shade base, accounting for the pendant's own height. The drop is adjustable on installation.

Can the organza shades be cleaned?

Dust the shades gently with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. For more persistent marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on the organza.
