Description

The Loewe is a 2-light wall light built around a pair of antique brass arms that cross behind a central cluster of bubbled glass spheres before splitting to support two white organza shades. An integrated switch sits on the backplate, allowing the light to be operated at the fitting rather than at a wall switch. Each shade houses an E14 bulb (sold separately), and the light is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 lamps.

Designed for bedside positions, hallway alcoves and living room accent walls where a switched wall light removes the need for bedside table lamps or allows local control without rewiring for an additional switch. The 190mm projection from the wall means the Loewe needs clearance from furniture. At least 250mm of space is recommended to avoid the shade being knocked. The 460mm height and 310mm width suit walls with at least 600mm of vertical clearance and pair well with double or king-size beds where two Loewes flank a headboard.

The antique brass finish shows darker burnished tones and subtle patina compared to polished or brushed brass, giving the arms a warmer, aged appearance that pairs with period furniture, traditional oak, walnut and mahogany finishes, and warm-toned painted walls. The white organza shades soften the light output and hide the bulb filament from view, producing diffused ambient light rather than directional task light. The bubbled glass cluster at the centre of the crossed arms catches and refracts light from the bulbs, adding decorative sparkle when the light is on.

Is the integrated switch a pull-cord or toggle?

The switch is a toggle-style rocker switch mounted on the backplate. It operates the light independently of any wall switch on the lighting circuit, so the light can be turned on and off at the fitting.

Is the Loewe dimmable?
