Description
The Loewe is a 2-light wall light with a crossed-arm antique brass frame, two cream organza shades and a central bubbled glass accent. Two E14 bulb holders (bulbs sold separately) sit behind the cream shades, which diffuse the light into a soft ambient glow. An integral on/off switch on the backplate allows the fitting to be controlled independently from room switches.
Designed for bedrooms, hallways and living rooms where wall-mounted reading or ambient light is needed without ceiling fittings, the Loewe suits bedside positions, alcoves flanking fireplaces, and hallway runs where multiple fittings create rhythm. The 190mm projection from the wall clears most skirting boards and dado rails without obstructing circulation. The on/off switch on the backplate makes the fitting practical for bedside use where reach-in switching is preferred over wall switches behind furniture.
The antique brass finish shows a darker, warmer tone than polished brass, with a slight patina that sits comfortably in traditional, Arts and Crafts and transitional interiors. The bubbled glass accent at the centre of the crossed arms catches and refracts light when the fitting is on, adding visual interest to the composition. The cream organza shades are semi-translucent, so the E14 bulb shape is slightly visible when lit — warm-white filament-style LED bulbs complement the traditional aesthetic.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Loewe take?
The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K. Filament-style LED bulbs complement the traditional aesthetic, as the bulb shape is slightly visible through the cream organza shades.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, if dimmable E14 bulbs are used and the wall circuit is controlled by a compatible dimmer switch. The integral on/off switch on the fitting itself is not a dimmer — it provides on/off control only.
Where is the switch located?
The on/off switch is integrated into the antique brass backplate that mounts to the wall. This allows the fitting to be switched on and off without reaching for a wall switch, making it practical for bedside positions where the wall switch may be behind furniture.
What mounting surface is needed?
The backplate mounts to a standard UK wall with two screws and wall plugs (supplied). The fitting weighs 2.4kg, so solid wall or plasterboard with sufficient backing is required. The 190mm projection clears most skirting boards and dado rails.
