Description

The Loewe is a single-arm wall light with an integrated switch, combining a polished chrome backplate and curved arm with a central bubbled glass detail and a cream organza shade. The arm sweeps upward from the circular chrome backplate, passing through a cluster of clear bubbled glass set in chrome mounts before supporting a tapered cream fabric shade above. The light takes a single E14 bulb (sold separately), which shines through the organza to provide soft ambient illumination.

Designed for bedside use, living room accent lighting and hallway installations where accessible switching is needed, the wall-mounted switch on the backplate allows the light to be controlled without reaching for a cord or separate wall switch. The 190mm projection and 460mm height suit walls adjacent to beds, mirrors, and seating areas where task or reading light is needed at arm height. The fitting mounts to a standard UK backplate and wiring on solid walls or partition stud walls rated for 2.4kg loads.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs comfortably with contemporary, transitional and classic interiors where metallic accents feature elsewhere in the room. The bubbled glass detail at the centre of the arm adds visual interest and catches light whether the fitting is on or off. The cream organza shade diffuses the E14 bulb without blocking all light transmission, creating a warm glow rather than a directional beam.

The Loewe works as a single feature or in symmetrical pairs flanking a headboard, mirror or console table. The 310mm width accommodates a standard E14 candle or golf-ball LED bulb and the fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible E14 dimmable bulb and dimmer switch on the circuit.

The Loewe takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W warm-white LED candle or golf-ball bulb at 2700K-3000K for bedside or ambient lighting. The maximum wattage depends on the bulb type. LED bulbs up to 40W-equivalent are typical.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E14 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The integrated wall switch on the backplate is a simple on/off switch, not a dimmer. Dimming control requires a separate dimmer in the circuit wiring.

How is the switch operated?

The switch is integrated into the circular chrome backplate and operates as a push on/off control. This allows the light to be switched without reaching for a pull-cord or separate wall switch, making it well-suited for bedside and reading positions.

Can it be installed on a partition wall?

Yes, as long as the wall can support 2.4kg. Use appropriate fixings for your wall type, cavity fixings for plasterboard partition walls, standard screws and wall plugs for solid masonry. The backplate covers a standard UK wall box and wiring.
