Description
The Lios is a 13cm cubic wall light that pairs a copper wire cage with a clear moulded glass outer shell. A single G9 halogen bulb sits inside the copper wire structure, casting light through both the wire mesh and the glass panels, creating layered shadows and reflections on the wall behind. The copper wire is formed into an open lattice cube that sits inside the glass, giving the fitting a double-frame appearance.
Designed for hallways, staircases, bedrooms and lounge accent walls, the Lios works where decorative wall lighting is needed at eye level or above. The 15cm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of circulation routes in narrow halls. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor spaces only. The 550lm output from the G9 bulb provides accent rather than task light, so most installations use multiple fittings spaced along a corridor or in pairs flanking a mirror or artwork.
The copper wire develops a natural patina over time, darkening slightly from the initial bright copper tone visible in new fittings. The clear glass remains transparent and shows fingerprints easily during handling, so clean installation is recommended. The combined glass and wire give the fitting a 0.55kg weight, requiring a solid wall fixing into brick, block or stud rather than plasterboard alone. The 10W G9 bulb is included, so the fitting arrives ready to use, and can be replaced with LED G9 capsules for lower running costs.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Lios takes a single G9 halogen capsule bulb up to 10W, which is included, so the fitting arrives ready to use. G9 LED capsules are also compatible and reduce running costs while maintaining similar light output.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means it is only suitable for dry indoor spaces. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones near water sources.
How is the copper wire cage attached to the glass?
The copper wire cage sits inside the moulded glass cube as a separate component. The two parts are held in position by the mounting bracket and backplate during installation.
Does the copper wire tarnish over time?
Yes. Copper develops a natural patina when exposed to air, darkening from bright copper to a deeper brownish tone over months or years. This is a characteristic of the material and not a defect.
